Lenka Pavilková - Channel Crossings is a leading language agency and has been on the Czech market since 1993.
The name “Channel Crossings” reflects the overcoming of barriers both real, i.e. between continental Europe and the British Isles, namely the areas at which the company’s original activities were aimed, and also in the sense of overcoming language barriers.
Our aim is to provide comprehensive and effective language services so that we can satisfy the individual requirements of our clients from private companies, state organisations and the general public. We try to provide quality services of the highest standard.

Milestones in the history of Channel Crossings
2005
Channel Crossings won a special award for Small Businesses in the Competition for the Best Company with equal opportunities for men and women in the Czech Republic 2005.

2004
Channel Crossings was awarded the European language prize, Label 2004, for its innovative language teaching project.

2003
Channel Crossings language agency celebrated 10 successful years on the domestic market.

2002
Due to the success of Channel Crossings over the last few years, our offices in Palackeho and Drevna street were joined into a single, new, Prague-centre location in Lazarská 8/13E, Prague 2.

2001
A multimedia Computer Assisted Language Laboratory (CALL) was opened in the Prague 5 branch of Channel Crossings.

1999
The opening of Channel Crossings Prague 1 education centre - specialized particularly in providing individual and specialized language instruction to corporate clientele

1998
The opening of Channel Crossings Prague 5 - Radotín education centre - focusing in particular on standard language courses for adults, courses for children and young people as well as courses for parents with the possibility of a creche for their children, post-secondary foreign language tuition.

1998
Channel Crossings obtained accreditation from the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic as one of the schools acknowledged as providing one year, post-secondary foreign language courses that fulfil the Ministry's requirements, enabling students to be classified as full-time students, thus entitling them to government social security and pension benefits.

The opening of a new branch in Prague 2

The range of services broadens to include other foreign languages - German, French, Spanish, Italian, etc..

Channel Crossings founded by Lenka Pavilková and Floyd Curtis, the core of its business activities being individual as well as group language instruction of English and providing translation and interpreting services in English.
